I may be a city girl, but the ocean has my heart. I like to think that in another lifetime, I’d be living in a cottage by the sea, probably with a dog and a belly full of lobster rolls, oysters, and local homemade ice cream. Ok, maybe in 50 years… but for now, you can find me working as a consultant in NYC and attempting to adult my way through this post-grad life!
With fall just around the corner, I wanted to savor the last few days of summer by going fruit picking in Upstate New York. We decided to do a little spin on the traditional fall festivities of apple picking and go peach picking instead. I’m actually more of a peach person and was so happy that there were a few crops of peaches left at the end of the season! Fruit and flower picking is something I’ve wanted to do forever, but never got a chance to do so. I couldn’t be more excited to make the drive up to Dubois Farms over Labor Day weekend.
I’m an ocean girl. You probably can’t guess it since I’m such a New Yorker and love city life, but I’m happiest when I’m by the water. There’s something special about the ocean breeze, crashing waves, and slight smell of seaweed that brings a smile to my face.
