This past Monday was the Boston Marathon, and it’s one of my favorite days of the year. We have this fun tradition at school to cheer on the runners as they pass by — I love watching them because they’re so inspiring! It’s beautiful to see people from all over the world come together and support one another. I think we can all agree that there could be a lot more love in the world.
If I had one regret in college, it would be that I didn’t go out and explore more of Boston. Especially in my first two years, I was so caught up in academics or too dependent on friends to do things with me that I ended up just staying on campus all the time. It wasn’t until I went abroad that I learned the importance of “me” time and doing things just for yourself.
The sun’s out, the sky is blue, and it’s supposed to be 65° tomorrow here in Boston. As someone whose mood depends a lot on the weather, I could not be happier that it’s finally beginning to feel like spring!
