Tale as Old as Time

Thank you to JORD Wood Watches for sponsoring this post.
All opinions and photos are my own.

If I had one regret in college, it would be that I didn’t go out and explore more of Boston. Especially in my first two years, I was so caught up in academics or too dependent on friends to do things with me that I ended up just staying on campus all the time. It wasn’t until I went abroad that I learned the importance of “me” time and doing things just for yourself.

One of my absolute favorite things to do in my down time is go on adventures. Whether it be trying a café you haven’t been to before, being a tourist in your own city (let’s be honest, we’ve all done that), or wandering the streets of a new neighborhood, there is no better way to spend a day.

One place that always takes my breath away is Beacon Hill. I’m so sad I didn’t discover it until my last semester of college! Its historic cobblestone streets, iconic gas lamps, and beautiful brick houses make it charming yet magical, almost as if it were frozen in time. I could spend hours and hours simply walking around, admiring all the unique door knockers.

It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re so lost in the moment. I try to unplug myself from technology whenever I’m out exploring because it’s such a nice escape. Luckily, I had my JORD watch to keep me on track. This is the first timepiece I’ve owned, and I love it because it is so unique. Each watch is hand-crafted and made of wood, so it’s cool knowing that no one has the exact same watch as you!

Of the many different options, I personally chose the zebrawood and navy watch from the Frankie collection. Anyone who knows me knows that neutrals and pastels are my jam – this watch goes with both, which is perfect. I was impressed by the wide variety of watches for both women and men and think that they’d be a great gift for yourself or a loved one.
