Exploring Downtown Boston and Beacon Hill

Oh Beantown, how I’ve missed you! It’s beginning to hit me that I only have a few months left living in Boston… before I know it I’ll be moving to NYC! I feel like these past few years have flown by, yet I barely know Boston at all. Well, that sure is about to change. I have a HUGE Boston bucket list full of places to go written down in my journal, and I can’t wait to check off all the boxes (or at least attempt to).

My friend came to visit this past weekend, so it was the perfect opportunity to hit up a bunch of the tourist attractions and explore different neighborhoods, my favorite of which was Beacon Hill. How have I gone to school here for nearly four years, yet just discovered this place? It is so charming, especially Acorn Street and Louisburg Square. Did you know that Acorn Street is the most photographed street in America? Also, fun fact — I took a Buzzfeed quiz a while ago called “What Iconic Boston Street Are You?” and it told me I was Acorn Street. So basically, I was destined to go there. Ha!

Boston winters are usually brutal, but so far it’s been okay and I sure am taking advantage of it while I can! Any day where I don’t have to wear snow boots and my ginormous parka is a great day in my book. These leather OTK boots and coat have been in my closet for eight years (!!) and are my staples this season. Love how some things just never go out of style! This Kate Spade sweater is also the warmest thing ever (and even better, I got it off the clearance rack at TJ Maxx), and my hat was only $4!

Once again Beacon Hill wins for cutest neighborhood!
An outdoor antique bookshop — I’ve never seen anything quite like it! We discovered a Bible in there that must have been… I don’t even want to know how old or how much it was, ha!
I may be terrified of birds but even I think these ducklings are cute! I swear though, if they were real, I’d be the first to run!! #dontjudge
The Massachusetts State House
What a cute flower stand in Downtown Crossing. Nothing better than fresh flowers in winter!
Well… okay, except for macarons. These are from the Thinking Cup and are my FAVE! Raspberry, vanilla, pistachio, peppermint, lavender, and rose. How can you pick just one? What’s your favorite flavor?

I’m excited for all the many adventures to come. Don’t forget to follow along my day-to-day on Instagram as I cross items off my #fscbostonbucketlist. Let me know if you have any recommendations! ❤
