Brooklyn Blossoms

With the semester wrapping up, a quick weekend trip home to New York was just the motivation I needed to power through the end of classes and finals. This past weekend was the Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, so a few friends and I decided to check it out!

But first, a stop at Lincoln Center for my little brother’s senior recital at Juilliard! I can’t believe he’s graduating high school already… at least he’s joining me in Boston next year for college! That just means more Boston adventures. πŸ™‚

I’ve always wanted to go to a cherry blossom festival but as a student it’s kiiinda hard to hop on a plane to Japan or Washington DC, so New York will have to do. πŸ˜‰ The festival was packed, but the flowers were so beautiful it was worth it. Walking through the gardens felt like I was in a magical flower wonderland!

I may or may not have borrowed this Kate Spade handbag from my mom’s closet… hehe. The color is perfect for spring and it even looks a bit like the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour, but worth just a fraction of the price! Tip for college students: the Kate Spade outlet has amazing discounts and if you bring your student ID, you get an extra 15% off! #studentonabudget

Hanging out with friends and family was the perfect escape from reality, but now it’s back to the grind. Just two more weeks left until I’m officially done with junior year… wow.
