Recipe: Flour Bakery’s Banana Bread

Last year, my friend Elle introduced me to Flour Bakery in Boston and now it is one of my go-to places to eat when in town.

Ironically, I absolutely HATE bananas (I can’t even be near one because the smell bothers me!!) but I LOVE Flour’s banana bread. You can imagine how happy I was when I found their recipe! I modified it a bit so it’s fluffier and not as sweet. Enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Banana Bread

Prep time: 20 min

Bake time: 40 min-1 hr


  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 and 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


Mix the eggs, oil, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy. Add in the sugar and mix well. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in separate bowl, and then add it to the liquid ingredients. Mix in the bananas at the end, and bake at 350ยฐ for 40-60 minutes (depending on your oven and pan). It’s as easy as that!
